What was I Thinking? I Can’t do this!

It is too overwhelming! My house is a disaster! There is stuff everywhere and I don’t know what to do with it. I can’t keep up. What was I thinking? I can’t do this!

Does this sound familiar? For some, keeping a clean house looks easy and it may come second nature to them. For others, it’s an uphill struggle.

Sometimes you think, “Okay, today is the day that I’m going to get this house cleaned up!” You look around at all of the clutter and mess and get discouraged. You give up. You are not alone.

Do you want your home to be less cluttered? Do you want to feel calm instead of overwhelmed? There is hope.

In my last blog post I encouraged you to seek God first. Ask him to help you. Trust in Him to show you where and how to start.

Has your home always been this way or it seemed to happen over time? Maybe you could do a little search on the internet to find tips and tricks on decluttering? What about asking a friend how she manages to keep her home tidy? Or maybe it’s time to call on a professional to help, a professional organizer? Yes, they do exist. Stay tuned for more information on this.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)

Seek God to help you figure out how to solve this overwhelm of clutter. Trust Him to bring you the help you need. Submit to His ways and the overwhelm will be turned into calm. When that happens, it will be a beautiful thing.
